  9. Chapter 2- weather- Nick hints to it being a sunny day while he is in new york with Tom and Mrs. Wilson. "...the apartmen was full of cheerful sun."

Chapter 3-weather- Its another sunny day in chapter 3. "At high tide in the afternoon i watched his guests diving from the tower of his raft, or taking the sun on the hot sand of his beach..."(39) I think fitzgerald will start to have rainy days in the book when things go south for Gatsby, but for now everything is alright, its party time.-Nick Wilson

  15. Chapter 4-weather- in chapter four its sunday morning(61), late July(63) and its probably a perfect sunny day again because Gatsby is in a relativly good mood, and ive noticed the weather is symbolic of Gatsby's emotions.

Chapter 5-weather- Its raining in chapter five(81) and as it pours Gatsby's emotions are down. "He(Gatsby) was pale, and there were dark signs of sleeplessness beneath his eyes." (84) Gatsby is deffinatly in rough shape before he meets daisy he is very out of it. Even when him and dasiy are spending time together he is still not himself(86). Nick steps outside and notices its stoped raining, and when he returns Gatsby is him self again and throught out the chapter Gatsby is in a good mood until the end where him and Daisy dance to a piano song and it starts to rain again symbolizing Gatsby and Daisy's sad years spent apart.-Nick Wilson
