Chapter 1.
His family has run a hardware business for years. He went to New Haven (Yale) for school and graduated in 1915. He decided to go East and learn the bond business instead of going into the hardware business. He keeps talking about eggs. He was lonely until some guy asked him how to get to West Egg Village, then he stopped being lonely. He went to East Egg to visit an old friend from New Haven, Tom, and his cousin, Daisy, who are married. The narrators name is Nick. Tom has another woman in New York and we find out that Nick was in the war. -LEXIIIIII
